24 Hours Nursing Care
We pride ourselves on providing a high staff to patient ratio. Licensed nursing professionals meet the daily needs of our residents as assessed by physicians in a prompt and dignified manner. Our nursing staff works closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop an individual plan of care to meet the needs of your loved one. Our high number of registered nurses enables us to provide the highest standard of care to even the most complex of medical needs.
Wound Care Program
Our woundcare program under the guidance of our specialist woundcare physician and dedicated treatment nurses enables us to give timely and effective interventions to help heal existing wounds and prevent new skin breakdown.
Physical Therapy Services
Our physical therapy department provides: post operative orthopedic care, chronic acute pain management with neurological deficit management, muscle injury management, walker, crutch, cane, and gait training.
Occupational Therapy Services
Our occupational therapy department provides: Acute Fracture Care, Splinting and Upper Extremities Dysfunction, Wheelchair Seating and Positioning, Equipment Modifications.
Speech Therapy Services
Our speech therapy department provides services for the following disorders: Speech/Language, Cognitive Linguistics, and Swallowing Disorders.
Medication and Pharmacy Services
All residents’ medications are dispensed with a physician’s order by our professional nurses, and monitored on a regular basis by the pharmacists and specially trained pharmacy nurse consultants. Diagnostic services available at Continental include laboratory tests, any abnormal results are reported to the primary physician by the nursing staff. This enables the physician to make adjustments to the resident’s plan of care.
